Essential Functions MTC-North Central Correctional Complex has an opening for:
Correctional Officer
Selected candidates will be responsible for but not limited to the custody and discipline of inmates in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) directives. With this position, overtime is mandatory.
Education and Experience Successful candidate must have a high School Diploma or equivalent as well as a valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
Post Hire Requirements:
Selected candidates must successfully complete 200 hours of pre-service training including firearms and unarmed self-defense courses. Training and development required to remain in the classification after employment includes annual re-qualification in the use of firearms and the successful completion of unarmed self defense training.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
