Non-automotive manufacturer is seeking a manufacturing engineer to join their manufacturing team. Daily you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations and meeting customer requirements. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Support a safety-oriented work environment
Initiate manufacturing process improvements
Create quality awareness on the manufacturing floor
Analyze and recommend work for utilization, space requirements and workflow
Lead and manage capital equipment projects, including timelines and budgets
Create standard work instructions
Participate in product development initiatives
Troubleshoot tooling issues
Complete mechanical and electrical equipment troubleshooting
Document work instructions
Determine manufacturability of products
Design fixtures and jigs
Other related duties as assigned
Candidates should have strong leadership abilities, be able to work independently and manage multiple projects. This is a salary position that will offer benefits.
REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Engineer:
A minimum of an associate's degree in a technical field
At least 7-10 years of manufacturing engineering experience
Experience working in metal fabrication, welding or plastic forming environments
Exposure to batch processing (high mix/low volume)
Experience with cell layout and fixture design
Experience completing process capability studies
A strong mechanical troubleshooting background
A proven track record of manufacturing process improvements
Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
Skills preferred, but not required:
Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
New product development
AutoCAD Desktop
Capital equipment projects
PLC troubleshooting
Candidates are required to be local to the opportunity; there is not a relocation package being offered at this time.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
